The induction hose attaches directly to the turbo and connects to the car’s air box, providing an instrumental role in the car’s intake and breathing side.
Whilst the original intake pipe features a restrictive ribbed design that disrupts air flow as it passes by, our direct replacement silicone hose features a freer-flowing smooth design to encourage air flow. The standard pipe also tapers down heavily in diameter between the start and finish, where as our hose features a larger internal diameter throughout to massively increase capacity, which further helps to improve throttle response.
The pipe has been designed to work even more effectively in conjunction with our AIRTEC Motorsport induction kit to improve the car’s entire air intake system. We also recommend adding our AIRTEC Motorsport cold air feed for best results.

DYNO TESTED
Independent back-to-back testing with the original air box and intake and our AIRTEC Motorsport induction kit, intake and cold air feed took place at Ignition Advantages on their Dyno Dynamics rolling road where gains of up to 21 bhp and 24 lb ft of torque were seen.
TEST 1: Intake pipe with standard air box /induction kit
The car tested as standard for a direct back-to-back test and then fitted with our intake pipe.
Standard intake and air box: 135.64bhp / 149.78lb ft of torque
AIRTEC Motorsport Intake Pipe: 143.10bhp / 156.25lb ft of torque – gains of 7.46bhp / 6.47lb ft of torque
TEST 2: Standard intake pipe with AIRTEC Motorsport induction kit
The car was returned to standard for a direct back-to-back test and then fitted with our induction kit and cold air feed.
Standard intake and air box: 133.22bhp / 156.53lb ft of torque
AIRTEC Motorsport induction kit: 143.42bhp / 162.65lb ft of torque – gains of 10.2bhp / 6.12lb ft of torque
TEST 3: AIRTEC Motorsport intake pipe with AIRTEC Motorsport induction kit
The car was returned to standard for a direct back-to-back test and then fitted with our intake pipe, induction kit and cold air feed.
Standard intake and air box: 123.26bhp / 134.96lb ft of torque
AIRTEC Motorsport induction kit: 144.67bhp / 159.06lb ft of torque – gains of 21.4bhp / 24.1lb ft of torque
Dyno Operator’s Comments
“Monitoring the AFR (Air-Fuel Ratio) during each of the runs indicated the car was running quite rich from the 3,250rpm mark when the standard intake and induction kit was in place, which can indicate a restriction in the system. When the AIRTEC Motorsport intake and induction kit were installed, we saw the car run leaner on boost, highlighting the restriction was intake related and as a result, we saw some very impressive figures.
The car was starting to get hot towards the last run but the gains were still good. It really came alive and would benefit from an intercooler and a remap to release further gains.”
