What do you get in the package? 
AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler – ATMSBMW17
Our direct replacement oil cooler offers a huge capacity increase as well as improved cooling, thanks to a core that measures 79% bigger than the standard BMW oil cooler together with an increased frontal area of 17% over standard, which means there is more air flow passing through the core to help cool it.

TESTED
With the standard oil cooler we saw temperatures as high as 125°C at the inlet and 110°C at the outlet, so only 15°C removed by the cooler. When compared to our AIRTEC Motorsport oil cooler, the maximum temperature in was 123°C and the maximum outlet temperature was 76°C, so a 46°C reduction, which is an impressive 205% more than the standard oil cooler was able to do. 

AIRTEC Motorsport Power Steering – ATMSBMW19
Proven to work by reducing operating temperatures on track, our power steering cooler upgrade designed specifically for the BMW E9x M3 platform features an enlarged core that increases capacity by an incredible 260% over standard, whilst frontal area is increased by 109% to help cool the extra capacity.

TESTED
With the original power steering cooler, we saw the temperature exceed the 130-degree mark, which is when the fluid starts to break down and fail, reaching an alarming peak of 144.4°C whilst struggling to recover. 
When the AIRTEC Motorsport power steering cooler upgrade fitted, we saw huge drops in operating temperatures, with a peak of just 72.7°C; a reduction of 49%. The data also showed the larger core cooler was able to recover and then maintain lower temperatures during hard use. 
 

AIRTEC Motorsport Radiator –  ATRADBMW8
Our direct replacement lightweight radiator solution features a tube-and-fin aluminium core that is 25% larger than the original BMW item. This design increases the cooling system’s capacity as well as improving its efficiency, allowing it to retain lower running temperatures compared to an original unit during prolonged or hard use.

TESTED
With the standard radiator we saw an average temperature of 91.4°C and with the AIRTEC Motorsport radiator we saw an average of 83.9°C, resulting in an reduction of 7.5°C or 9% reduction in coolant temperature, the maximum temperature difference being 10.7°C.

AIRTEC Motorsport DCT Cooler – ATMSBMW18
The DCT cooler upgrade features a core 218% larger than the standard DCT cooler, together with a 118% increase in frontal area compared to standard to help cool the extra capacity. It also comes with a carbon fibre shroud.

TESTED
When looking at the data gathered from the oil temperature sensors we had installed in the inlet and outlet of the DCT cooler, we noticed it managed a maximum thermal efficiency of just 16%, removing just 12 degrees of heat, whereas the AIRTEC Motorsport DCT oil cooler measured 36% by removing up to 24 degrees of temperature from the gearbox oil in comparison, which is an impressive 100% more than the standard oil cooler was able to do.
